The Lynn County News printed these offers on August 3, 1995. Dayton Parker Pharmacy advertised school supplies and small treats. Allsup’s store #182 advertised snacks, drinks and batteries, with its offers valid August 3–5.

Nostalgia Basket combines the two into one fictional shop. It keeps the advertised units: a box of 24 crayons, ten pencils, a six-pack of Pepsi and a half-gallon of ice cream. Where the advertisement omits a weight, exact model or promotion end date, the source note says so.

The $5 and $10 choices are game budgets. They do not claim what everyone received as an allowance. A one-of-each limit makes the game manageable; it is not a reported retailer rule. Historical tax treatment is not established, so the game does not add tax.

The twenty listed offers total $26.14 before any unmodelled taxes. That makes a small budget a real choice: useful supplies, something sweet, or a little of both.
